Leaders In Giving Program

At the heart of United Way of Wayne County is the leadership group that gives the organization its strength, character, purpose and longevity. It is not only the measure of United Way's impact on a community that is represented in the Leaders in Giving program, but of its members' desire to affect the lives of their neighbors.

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society was established to encourage personal major giving. The name was chosen because of Tocqueville's admiration for the spirit of voluntary association and voluntary effort for the common good.

The Pillars Club was established to encourage and recognize personal leadership giving. Leadership givers are those who can and do make a significant investment in the quality of life for all people who live in our community.
